Satara, Oct 24: In a shocking incident, a woman doctor allegedly died by suicide at the Phaltan Sub-District Hospital in Maharashtra’s Satara district on Thursday night, police confirmed on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Sampada Munde, who was reportedly embroiled in a dispute with the district police over a medical examination-related issue, sources said. The disagreement had led to heated arguments between the two parties, following which a departmental inquiry was initiated against her.

According to sources, Dr. Munde had earlier reached out to her senior officers, expressing distress over the situation and alleging that she was being treated unfairly. She had also reportedly warned of taking her own life if the alleged harassment continued.
