Jaipur, Oct 28: In a major breakthrough, Rajasthan’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has confirmed the arrest of notorious gangster Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga, a close aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in the United States.
Jagga, who also maintained links with the Rohit Godara gang, had been absconding for several years and was wanted in over ten serious criminal cases registered across Punjab and Rajasthan, including murder, attempt to murder, and extortion.

According to AGTF officials, efforts are now underway to bring him back to India. The agency has been conducting an extensive operation to track and nab Bishnoi network members who fled abroad but continued to operate their criminal syndicates from foreign countries.
Police sources revealed that Jagga had been operating from Dubai and later the US, providing financial and logistical support to the Bishnoi-Godara network. The AGTF team traced his movements through sustained technical surveillance and intelligence coordination.
Jagga’s criminal history includes his alleged involvement in the 2017 Pratap Nagar firing case with Dr Sunil Chachda and the high-profile murder of Vasudev Israni in Jodhpur’s Sardarpura area. After being granted bail, Jagga reportedly escaped India using his passport, travelled to Dubai, and entered the US illegally around three years ago.
Based on AGTF’s inputs, the US Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained Jagga. He is currently in US custody, and legal procedures for his deportation to India are in progress.
Once repatriated, Jagga and his associates are expected to face further investigation and strict legal action under organised crime laws, officials confirmed.
