New Delhi, Nov 5: Delhi Police arrested two suspected members of the Kala Jathedi–Om Parkash gang, foiling their plan to carry out a targeted killing in Southwest Delhi.

The accused, identified as Vinod (27) and Dhruv (19), were nabbed from Jharoda village with two loaded country-made pistols and live cartridges in their possession, officials said on Tuesday.

Police said the duo were acting on the directions of jailed gangster Om Parkash alias Kala, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail under the MCOCA. They had allegedly plotted to kill a fellow villager over an old rivalry.

“Both accused revealed they joined Om Parkash’s gang through his brother Amit about a year ago. After their release from jail, Amit instructed them to procure arms and eliminate their target,” said DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh.

Police added that Vinod is a habitual offender with multiple cases under the Arms Act, while Dhruv has two previous cases and was registered as a visitor for Amit in jail.

An FIR under the Arms Act has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station, and both accused have been remanded in custody. Authorities said further investigation is underway to trace their associates and uncover wider gang links in the capital.
