Delhi, Nov 8: A massive fire broke out late Friday night in a cluster of huts near Rithala metro station in Rohini, Delhi, officials said.
Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said it received the distress call at around 10.56 pm, following which 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Firefighters are currently battling the blaze. Preliminary reports suggest several huts have been destroyed.

Police sources said multiple LPG cylinders exploded during the fire, intensifying the flames and causing panic among residents. Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from the area as locals scrambled to save belongings and move to safer locations.
Authorities have cordoned off the area, and additional fire tenders are on standby to prevent the fire from spreading further. “Our teams are working to douse the flames. We have asked the police to keep onlookers away,” said a DFS official.
