Sitamarhi, Nov 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during an election rally in Bihar, accusing the Tejashwi Yadav-led party of “poisoning the minds of children” and promoting a culture of violence.
“What RJD wants to do for the children of Bihar is clearly visible in their campaign. On their stages, innocent children are being made to say they want to become rangdars (extortionists). Should Bihar’s children become rangdars or doctors?” PM Modi said, referring to a viral video from an RJD rally in Samastipur where a minor was heard glorifying gun culture.

Calling the opposition’s rule “jungle raj,” Modi said it represented “katta, krurta, katuta, kushasan, and corruption.” He urged voters to reject what he called a “government of violence” and choose the NDA for a “government of development.”
“In Bihar, there is no place for katta anymore. We want children who dream of startups, not ‘hands-up’ leaders,” he said, adding that while the NDA provides “books, computers, and laptops,” the RJD encourages “guns and fear.”
PM Modi also claimed that the first phase of polling had delivered a “65-volt shock” to the opposition, saying that youth turnout reflected strong support for the NDA’s development agenda.
“This election is about the future of Bihar’s children. Under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, people’s faith has returned and investors are showing confidence — this is Modi’s guarantee,” he said.
Voting for the second phase will be held next Tuesday across 122 constituencies, with counting scheduled for Friday.
