New Delhi, Nov 11: Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday reviewed the ongoing investigation and multi-state search operations linked to the deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station, reaffirming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ensure that those responsible face swift justice.
Chairing a high-level meeting at his residence, Shah directed top security and intelligence officials to “get to the bottom of the conspiracy at the earliest” and leave “no stone unturned” in uncovering the network behind the blast.
The meeting was attended by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Kumar Deka, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, and NIA Director General Sadanand Vasant Date. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat joined virtually, underscoring the multi-state coordination effort.

A special task force comprising over 500 officers has been mobilized to pursue leads, while NSG commandos have been deployed to protect key installations across the Delhi-NCR region. Security has been heightened nationwide, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with vigilance intensified at crowded public places and religious sites.
Investigators are analyzing more than 1,000 CCTV footage clips and scrutinizing mobile phone dump data from the Red Fort vicinity to identify potential suspects and communication links. Preliminary findings suggest the blast—caused by a Haryana-registered Hyundai i20—may have been a suicide attack designed to inflict maximum casualties.
Shah instructed the NIA, IB, and Delhi Police Special Cell to work in seamless coordination, emphasizing a unified approach to dismantle the plot and apprehend those involved.
The explosion, which occurred Monday evening, claimed eight lives and left several others injured, sending shockwaves through the national capital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking earlier in Thimphu, expressed deep grief over the incident and vowed retribution. “Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. The conspirators behind this will not be spared,” he said during his address at the Changlimethang Ground.
Meanwhile, political reactions have begun to emerge. The BJP accused the Congress and its allies of attempting to politicize a national tragedy. Party IT Cell head Amit Malviya posted on X, “If being shameless and working against national interest had a face, it would look exactly like the Congress.
The problem with our Opposition and the loony far-Left ecosystem is that they simply do not know how to stand with the country in times of need.”
With multiple agencies now working round the clock, the investigation into the Red Fort Metro Station blast has entered a critical phase, as the government vows to bring every conspirator to justice.
