Mumbai, Nov 27: Mumbai witnessed two violent killings in quick succession, leaving residents in shock. On Wednesday, November 26, a 24-year-old call-centre employee was brutally stabbed to death in Malad. According to Mumbai Police, the victim was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and suffered multiple stab wounds, dying on the spot. The accused has been detained and is under police interrogation as authorities probe the motive, which currently appears to be targeted, though all angles are being explored.

Earlier, on the night of November 20 in Ghatkopar West, 65-year-old retired railway loco pilot Surendra Dhondiram Pachadkar was killed in a sudden act of violence on a busy public road in CGS Colony, popularly known as Old Furniture Gully. Pachadkar, returning from his evening walk around 9:30 pm, reportedly brushed against 19-year-old Aman Verma, sparking a heated argument. The confrontation quickly turned violent when Verma allegedly picked up an iron rod and struck Pachadkar on the head, causing him to collapse.

Passersby alerted Pachadkar’s family, and he was rushed to Zenova Hospital by his stepson Ashok Sathe and wife Shubhangi, but doctors declared him dead during treatment. Ghatkopar Police registered a case of murder and tracked down the accused, who was subsequently detained.

Police are investigating both incidents thoroughly, working to uncover the circumstances behind these tragic acts of violence that have shaken the city.
