Guwahati, Dec 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party does not approach people merely to win elections but to serve them and resolve their problems, asserted BJP Working National President Nitin Nabin during his visit to Assam on Friday.
Addressing party workers on his first visit to the state after assuming charge, Nabin said the BJP’s engagement with the public is driven by service and solutions, not electoral gains alone. He reiterated the party’s commitment to accelerating development in Assam and the North-East, stressing that the region’s progress is integral to achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat.

Recalling former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision, Nabin said priority to the North-East is essential for the country’s overall development, a mission being carried forward by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas.”
Crediting BJP’s growth and success to its grassroots workers, he said the party’s achievements were possible only because of their dedication and hard work. He also highlighted the BJP-led NDA government’s welfare schemes, including direct benefit transfers, and shared an organisational roadmap ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
During his visit, Nabin attended the BJP Assam State Executive meeting in Guwahati, chaired the Core Committee meeting, and discussed poll preparations with senior leaders. He was accorded a warm reception by party workers, led by state BJP president Dilip Saikia, with a rally from Guwahati Airport to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Sankardev.
