Mangalore, Feb 28: In a late night brawl, six persons allegedly beat up a security guard to death near Bunts Hostel here on Monday February 27.

The incident took place at around 11.30 pm. The security guard was posted on night duty at Essel Towers.

The six of them, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, were at the gate waiting for the guard to open the gate. When there was a delay by the guard in letting them in, they are said to have lost their temper and thrashed him to death.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh from Hubli. Sources said that he died on the spot.

Following the incident, two people were arrested. One of the arrested is from Vamanjoor and the other from Bunder. Four others are absconding.

Ganesh had been employed as security guard at Essel Towers a month back. The owner had reportedly told him to close the gates by 10 pm and not allow any one inside thereafter. However, the six accused would repeatedly come late, it is said, and on Monday night things went out control.

Kadri police are investigating.

This show how how ,these people don’t bother about law and order .And we have police commissioner , semant kumar singh , who is use less office and loyal to reddy brothers of bellay who gifted him this post for not implementing arrest warrant against them. He is just enjoying life in lavish bungalow in and don’t worry of people . And police in mangalore are busy raiding parlors and collecting HAFTA from common people .I really managlore is developing as crime city and people feel unsafe to stay

I think all efforts will be made to shelter the culprits because they belong to a particular community. Ivan and his cronies will leave no stone unturned to do this. We know what he had done in the murder of the Riksha fellow in Thokkottu. Already there are rumours spread that the guard died of heart attack. I remember Palemar and co were watching (their version)how the culprits of rape were to being hanged. I hope Congress dosnt need watching that kind of films to press for punishment for the accused. I wonder what will be the fate of the wife and two young children of the dead guard

Mangalore Has seen deterioration of Law and order for sure. This observation are even after being a hardcore RSS Supporter Not BJP. Mangalore Has become place of poor values for elders , Culture and Flaunting of ill gotten wealth. The price of COsmopolitization is what we see in todays society.

Who will take care of this poor family. Our Judiciary system is not correct. Iam sure that those culprits will be free after some time. Public should hang or stone them in public.

Why not send theswe police men home and distribute thier montly pay to poor who can gurad the society much efficient ways. We indians think and believe that we are morally better with our people who are 99% religious and blame western culture for not having moral values.
But we are still animals who are ready to kill each other at every oppurtunity. And its really sad that the readers here waiting for a oppurtunity to blame others with vengeance with every oppurtunity .

What a heart sobbing incident?Poor watchman along with his wife and two children came in search of his livelihood has been beaten mercilessly to death by six people in anger. In the first place are killers human beings? If so, do they have any heart? Now who will wipe tears from family of deceased?Who will console them?Except money power and political interference neither police nor law will help this poor family.See the crying face of two small children. What a pity?Is there any unions,Rama sene,BJP,RSS or any other political group come forward and fight the case against these culprits and help in getting justice to the poor family? Why our legal system is so weak to award death or capital punishement or hang the culprits who committs such a heineous crime/act.Please at least in the interest of public shoot murderers in public. At least after that public should have little sense of fear in future. Now what happens is,no fear of police, law, jail, they can do whatever they want without any fear. With money power, political influence they can scot free and roam in public.May God grant departed soul of watchman rest in peace and give enough strength and courage to the bereaved family to overcome this irreparable loss.

Never they did any delay in their job? Is this the reason to kill poor security guard? Are they human being? Now only 2 person were arrested & it will take so many years for court order & pass judgement for small kind of punishement. Unfortunately the society is so biased even their names and photos are not yet published. Why the police is not sensative or trained to handle such situation with much humanity. No mercy for children.I agree with Mr.Jaimini PB.Sure this boy will become "Nayagan" if they won't get justice.

Murder has become very common in Mangalore. People have no fear of law, no humanity, no fear of God. The reason is people have easy earned wealth which has killed humanity from within their heart. This was not so a few years ago. When 'angoota chaap' people acquire Ministerial berths, these things are bound to happen. To whom this helpless family will go now ? Who will give them justice ? Look at the face of little boy & girl ! Could anyone imagine what is going through their tender mind ? God only can rescue helpless and poor people in our beloved Mangalore. This incident is an awakening call for all …
Look at the security guards at Mangalore they are expected to be like Brucely (kungfu fighter). Face everything with naked handed. They have only one thing to show off that’s uniform..
When you look at them its feels like they did not get job anywhere and some how they got into security guard squads.
These people should be professionally trained for crisis and should not be left on their own, risking life. .
Thanks Daiji for such prompt updates

Heart breaking ... to see poor family crying at deceased feet. This is nothing but death of human value and human dignity.

Guys, Just note the expression of that little boy.Look at the anger in his face. Can this unfair and uncivilized society expect him to be a good citizen.God alone can take care of such people.

Very sad to see the wife and children witness this macabre scene. And now who would look after them. Mangalore has changed drastically just in the past six or seven years. I pray the police do their job quickly and effectively to instil some kind of sanity and confidence in the people. The common man is just fed up.

Kadri police investigating the case? I am sure the inspector will take huge bribe from the accused and close the case! It is unfortunate that Ganesh died in Kadri police station limits. Please do not expect any justice from Kadri police station...

    The mobocratic republic of mangalore!!
Where are we heading ? Is this UP or Delhi? Every week there is some news about one murder or the other. Request all the readers, to stop being judgemental and comment sensibly, without dragging politics into it.

What sort of people we have? How can six people beat one person? A security guard is employed to ensure the safety of the people and this security guard was doing his job. Just because security guards are not well educated, we have the tendency to illtreat them and abuse them as they rarely retaliate because of the fear of losing their jobs. May his soul rest in peace and may God give sufficient strength to his family members to bear the loss of this earning member.
