Chennai, Feb 14: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Friday distributed appointment orders to 9,801 candidates selected for various government posts through recruitment agencies including the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Medical Services Recruitment Board and Teachers Recruitment Board.
The appointment orders were handed over at a function held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Of the total 9,801 selected candidates, 4,213 received their orders directly from the Chief Minister during the event.

The competitive examinations for posts including Group II and Group IV were conducted in 2025 by the respective recruiting agencies. With the latest induction, the total number of appointments made through various recruitment boards since the DMK government assumed office in May 2021 has risen to 94,191.
This includes 45,126 appointments through TNPSC, 24,927 through TNUSRB, 12,894 through TRB and 11,244 through MSRB. In addition, 54,864 individuals were appointed through direct recruitment in local bodies and government undertakings, while 5,899 secured jobs on compassionate grounds. As many as 177 sportspersons were appointed under the three per cent sports quota.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated eight residential quarters built at a cost of Rs 3.50 crore at the Anna Institute of Management in Chennai. He further laid the foundation stone for a new All India Civil Services Coaching Centre building to be constructed at Shenoy Nagar at an estimated cost of Rs 62.50 crore, which will be equipped with modern facilities.
