Mumbai, Mar 3: Punjabi singer-rapper Karan Aujla, who is currently on his ‘P-Pop Culture’ tour, has won hearts in Mumbai after paying pending traffic fines of two autorickshaw drivers during a casual ride in the city.
After kickstarting his tour on February 28 in Delhi, Aujla arrived in Mumbai for his March 3 concert and decided to explore the city in an autorickshaw. However, the ride took an unexpected turn when traffic police stopped the vehicle over unpaid fines.

A video shared by his photographer Taran Sodhi shows the police informing the driver about pending fines amounting to Rs 17,000. Aujla immediately asked his team to clear the dues.
Soon after, another auto driver approached the singer requesting help with his own fine of Rs 5,000. Aujla agreed without hesitation, bringing the total amount paid to Rs 22,000. The second driver was seen hugging the singer in gratitude.
In the video, Aujla is heard saying, “We got pulled over because the auto driver had some pending fines, and we told the policeman that we’d pay his fines. I love doing this.” He added jokingly, “Koi aur pay nahi karega. Suddenly I am the city’s favourite.”
Social media users flooded the comments section with praise for the ‘Tauba Tauba’ hitmaker. One user called it “the best kind of flex,” while another wrote, “That’s a different kind of satisfaction.” A comment that gained traction read, “Suddenly I’m the city’s favourite – Man decoded Mumbai in an autoride.”
Aujla began his ‘P-Pop Culture’ tour with a packed show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, reportedly attended by over 70,000 fans. He performed popular tracks including ‘Tauba Tauba’, ‘Gangster’, ‘Bachke Bachke’, ‘Boyfriend’, and ‘For A Reason’.
Following Mumbai, the singer is scheduled to perform in Pune on March 4, Chandigarh on March 14, Indore on March 21 and Bengaluru on March 29.
With his chart-topping hits and spontaneous acts of generosity, Aujla continues to stay in the spotlight both on and off the stage.
