Udupi: District Education Resource Centre to Campaign for Children's Rights

Udupi, Mar 6: Under the aegis of the district education resource Centre, SDMC campaign committee and likeminded organizations organized a people’s awareness campaign across Udupi–Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency to seek contestants of forthcoming polls to give due significance to children’s rights.

The representatives of SDMC, members of like-minded organizations in Udupi and Chikmagalur districts, will distribute handbills that will have demands related to children’s rights, meet the contestants, and discuss children’s rights issues with political leaders.

The general awareness will focus on children’s right to create a better future for them in a democratic country.

The district education resource centre president K Janardhan Bhandarkar, advisor Renny D’Souza, organizing secretary Sulochana Kodavoor, SDMC chairman M Kiran Kumar Hegde, and Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) deputy chairman Vimala K Salian were present at the press meet.
