Mangaluru, Oct 11: In view of the Mangaluru Dasara festivities, the city police commissioner has announced traffic diversions and parking restrictions around the Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple from October 11 to 21.

With a large number of devotees and dignitaries expected to visit the temple every day from 4 pm onwards, heavy vehicular congestion is anticipated along the Kulur Ferry Road. The police have identified Car Street Balaji Junction, New Chitra Junction, Alake Bridge, the Kudroli temple entrance, Durgamahal Junction, and Mannagudda Junction as likely traffic bottlenecks.

To ensure smooth vehicular movement, the police have requested the public to opt for alternative routes. Vehicles proceeding from Kottara Chowki towards Car Street must travel via the Lalbagh - PVS - Navabharath route. Similarly, vehicles moving from Car Street towards Kulur Ferry Road are advised to ply via the Navabharath - PVS route.

Furthermore, parking of vehicles has been strictly prohibited on both sides of the Kulur Ferry Road stretch from New Chitra Junction to Ladyhill, as well as on all its connecting roads.

The police department has urged the public to park their vehicles only in designated parking areas and strictly adhere to the instructions of the traffic police personnel on duty to help manage the traffic density.
