KPMG UK plans job cuts in audit division, hundreds at risk

Daijiworld Media Network - London

London, Mar 28: KPMG UK has initiated a major restructuring move, informing nearly 600 employees in its audit division that their roles are at risk.

According to reports, affected staff have been told that layoffs may follow, subject to a formal redundancy consultation process. A memo circulated internally indicated that the firm could see up to 440 employees exit the business if the proposal is implemented.

The development comes amid broader pressures in the audit sector, with firms reassessing costs and operational structures.

KPMG has not publicly detailed the reasons behind the proposed cuts, but the move signals a significant shift within its UK audit operations.
