Solapur, Mar 31: Amit Thackeray, chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena, visited Solapur on March 30 and met the family of slain party functionary Balasaheb Sarvade.
During his visit, Thackeray expressed concern over the state of the system, stating that individuals accused in serious cases are getting elected even while in jail, calling it a failure of the system.
Sarvade was murdered during the Solapur municipal election period after he withdrew his nomination.

At the time, Thackeray had rushed to Solapur to console the bereaved family and had taken responsibility for the education of Sarvade’s daughters.
Continuing his support, Thackeray revisited the family during his latest trip, reaffirming his commitment and extending solidarity.
