Mumbai, Apr 12: Railway authorities in Mumbai have implemented a five-hour maintenance block on the fast lines between Santacruz railway station and Goregaon railway station, scheduled to continue until 3 pm.

The block has been taken up to carry out essential work on tracks, signalling systems, and overhead electrical equipment. During this period, all fast line trains are being diverted to operate on the slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon, which may lead to delays and congestion.

As a result of the maintenance work, several suburban train services have been cancelled, while some services originating from Borivali and Andheri have been partially curtailed. These trains are operating only up to Goregaon on the Harbour Line instead of completing their usual routes.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and expect temporary disruptions until normal services resume after the maintenance work concludes.
