Mumbai, Apr 14: In a shocking incident, two MBA students — including a young woman — died following a suspected drug overdose during a live music concert held in Goregaon, police said.
According to police, the event was organised on April 11 at the NESCO Center in the western suburbs, where around 2,000 to 3,000 youngsters people had gathered. During the concert, several attendees reportedly fell ill due to excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs.

The victims, both in their twenties and pursuing MBA at a reputed South Mumbai college, were part of a group of around 15 students who attended the event together. Authorities have withheld their identities.
Police suspect that the duo consumed ecstasy pills before and during the concert. They began feeling unwell at the venue and were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
One of them was admitted to the Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Hospital, while the other was taken to a private facility. A male student admitted to Life Line Hospital died during treatment on Monday, while the female student succumbed later after being shifted to another hospital.
Police said both deaths occurred on April 12.
A case has been registered at the Vanrai Police Station, and five persons — including two MBA students and alleged drug suppliers — have been arrested in connection with the incident.
During investigation, it emerged that two classmates of the victims had allegedly supplied them with ecstasy pills. Following this, both were taken into custody.
Police have warned that consumption of such synthetic drugs can be fatal and have urged the public, especially youth, to stay away from substance abuse. Further investigation is underway.
