Kasargod, Mar 8: A husband allegedly killed his wife at Peria, near here, on Thursday March 8.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Indira, wife of auto rickshaw driver Krishna, a resident of Kodavalam Padangod, who was arrested by Ambalattara police at Peroor on Thursday evening.

Indira had returned home after offering ‘puja’ at Durgaparameshwari Temple in Vellad, when Krishna began a quarrel with her over a silly issue.  In a fit of anger, he knifed her and she died on the spot.

ASP Manjunath and Hosdurg sub-inspector K V Venugopal led the investigations.
