Mangalore: KIOCL Celebrates International Women’s Day

Mangalore, Mar 9: Women in Public Sector (WIPS) of KIOCL Ltd celebrated International Women’s Day in Blast Furnace Unit (BFU), here, with the theme ‘Connecting girls- inspiring future’.

The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Savitha Pereira, professor, MBA department, SDM College, here.

Addressing the gathering she said that this is the day which needs to be marked by everyone to respect and honor every woman for her contributions towards the family and society. Women need support to grow and to be empowered.

Director of the plant, K Subba Rao, DGM, N Vidyananda, AGM Personnel, Moulesh, plant AGM, B R Alva and WIPS coordinator Vidya Rao were present on the occasion.

Women employees of KIOCL pallet plant, blast furnace unit and of Kudremuk unit gathered on the same occasion. Madhuri and Malini mastered the ceremony.

A session on personality development for women was taken by Dr Savitha Pereira for the women employees.
