Udupi, Mar 10: Dr Gowri, vice-president of Manipal Mahila Samaj and Sadhana Kini, president of Platform of Women Entrepreneurs, were conferred ‘Women Achievers Award’ for social service in the district during the International Women’s Day celebrations held at Hotel Lalit Ashok, High Grounds, Bangalore, on Thursday March 8.
The programme was held under the aegis of Women Entrepreneurs Committee of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI).
State industries minister Murugesh R Nirani conferred the award on Dr Gowri and Sadhana Kini in the presence of Dotty, wife of state chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, movie actor, producer, and director Priya Hasan, KSW president Sarojini Bharadwaj, R Srinivas Kumar, P Ravi Kumar, and Women Entrepreneurs Committee president Laxmi Kamath.
