Bhopal, May 3: In a significant administrative move, the Madhya Pradesh Home Department has carried out a large-scale reshuffle of 62 IPS officers, impacting senior leadership roles as well as district-level postings across the state. The transfer orders were issued late on Saturday night.
Among the top appointments, Ravi Kumar Gupta has been assigned as Special DGP (Training) and Director of the Police Academy in Bhouri, Bhopal, while Rajababu Singh takes over as ADGP (Rail) in Bhopal. D.P. Gupta has been entrusted with multiple responsibilities, including community policing, RTI, public service guarantee, cooperative fraud, police manuals, research and development, and police reforms.

Solomon Yash Kumar Minz will now oversee complaints, human rights, and welfare accounts. Amit Singh has been posted as DIG (Armed Force) in the Indore Range, and Awadhesh Kumar Goswami moves to the police headquarters in Bhopal as DIG. Amit Sanghi has been shifted to DIG (Home Guard/SDERF) in Bhopal.
Virendra Kumar Singh has been appointed DIG of the Narmadapuram Range, while Prashant Khare returns to the police headquarters. Manish Kumar Agrawal joins as DIG at headquarters, along with Manoj Kumar Rai, Riaz Iqbal, Rahul Kumar Lodha, and Simala Prasad in similar roles.
At the regional and district levels, several key changes have been made. Asit Yadav has been moved to the Gwalior Range, Vivek Singh to Shahdol Range, and Shailendra Singh Chauhan has been appointed Additional Commissioner (Law and Order) in Bhopal. Kumar Prateek takes charge as DIG (Narcotics) in Indore, while Shiv Dayal has been posted to headquarters. Mayank Awasthi becomes Additional Commissioner in Indore, and Arvind Tiwari has been assigned as Commandant of the 34th Battalion in Dhar.
In district policing, Suraj Kumar Verma has been posted as SP Bhind, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia as SP Shivpuri, and Gurukaran Singh as SP Rewa. Other notable appointments include Deepak Kumar Shukla as Commandant of the 32nd Battalion in Ujjain, Aman Singh Rathore as DCP Indore, and Anurag Sujania as SP Sagar.
Sachin Sharma takes over as SP Dhar, Wahni Singh as SP PTC Indore, and Vikas Kumar Sahwal as DCP Bhopal. Dharmraj Meena has been posted as SP Morena, Sameer Saurabh as SSP Radio Bhopal, and Rajat Saklecha as SP Chhatarpur. Agam Jain becomes SP Khandwa, while Manish Khatri has been appointed AIG at headquarters.
Further postings include Sunil Kumar Mehta as DCP Indore, Devendra Kumar Patidar as SP Jhabua, and Ramsharan Prajapati as AIG headquarters. Sunder Singh Kanesh takes charge as SP Rail Jabalpur, Rajesh Vyas as SP Neemuch, and Vinod Kumar Singh as Commandant of the 24th Battalion in Ratlam.
Pankaj Kumar Pandey has been posted as SP (Rural) Bhopal, Prakash Chandra Parihar as SP Pandhurna, and Dilip Kumar Soni as SP Agar Malwa. Rajendra Kumar Verma becomes SP (Rural) Indore, Vikrant Murab as SP Anuppur, and Surendra Kumar Jain as SP Mauganj.
Ashish Khare has been appointed SP Dindori, Ankit Jaiswal as SP Rail Bhopal, and Rajesh Raghuvanshi as SP Mandla. Moti Ur Rahman has been posted as Commandant of the 9th Battalion in Rewa, while Shrutkirti Somvanshi takes charge of the 13th Battalion in Gwalior.
Additional appointments include Mayur Khandelwal as SP Datia, Sonakshi Saxena as SP Sehore, Shiyaz KM as SP Singrauli, Anand Kaladgi as SP Damoh, and Krishnalal Chandani as SP Seoni.
At the commissionerate level, Ayush Gupta and Adarshkant Shukla have been posted as DCPs in Bhopal, while Narendra Rawat and Abhishek Ranjan take over as DCPs in Indore. Rahul Deshmukh has been appointed as aide to the Governor.
In other changes, Anil Kumar has been relieved of his additional charge of Accounts and Welfare, while Mohd. Shahid Absar has been freed from his additional responsibility at the Police Academy in Bhouri. Aditya Mishra has been given additional charge of Hawk Force in Balaghat.
This extensive reshuffle is expected to streamline operations and inject fresh momentum into policing and administration across Madhya Pradesh.
