New Delhi, May 21: The 'X' (formerly Twitter) account of the satirical 'Cockroach Janta Party' (CJP), which was launched in protest against recent remarks by Supreme Court justice Surya Kant, has been withheld in India.
Founder of the CJP, Abhijeet Dipke, confirmed the action, stating that efforts are also underway to hack the party's Instagram account.
Launched just last week, the satirical party's X account had amassed over six lac followers before being blocked, creating a massive sensation in Indian political circles and across social media platforms.

Taking to X, Abhijeet Dipke posted that, as expected, the CJP's X account had been withheld in India and that their Instagram account was facing hacking attempts to curb their online presence.
The CJP was formed to protest a controversial comment made by Supreme Court justice Surya Kant last Friday. During a hearing, the justice had heavily criticized unemployed youth, reportedly comparing them to "cockroaches" and stating that some of them are in the media, some on social media, while others act as RTI activists. Outraged by these remarks, netizens launched the Cockroach Janta Party, which quickly took the internet by storm.
