Born to Suman Devadiga Kanwatheertha and Kshama Suman Devadiga Padil, originally from Mangaluru and currently residing in Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai, Aadhya is a student of Bombay Cambridge International School and has recently completed seventh grade. Despite beginning her archery journey only in September 2024, she has rapidly risen through the ranks to become a formidable competitor at district, state and national-level championships.

Representing Sagittarius Sports Club and training under the guidance of renowned coach Vinayak Nair, Aadhya’s rise in the sport has been nothing short of extraordinary. What sets her apart is not only the impressive collection of medals she has amassed, but also the remarkable speed, consistency, dedication and discipline with which she has achieved success.

She further strengthened her national reputation by securing a silver medal in the National E-Championship (Under-14 Girls) and winning the Overall Gold Trophy at the Outdoor National Competition. Her achievements also earned her a National Gold Award from Magnum Opus and the IEO Olympiad.

Continuing the Winning Streak in 2026

The year 2026 brought even greater success. At the National Field Archery Competition held in Alibaug, Maharashtra, from January 21 to 27, Aadhya won one gold, two silver and one bronze medal, further cementing her position among India’s leading young archers.

In April 2026, she added two silver medals to her growing collection at the 7th FAAI National E-Championship, competing in both the Under-14 Girls and Under-17 categories — an achievement that highlighted her ability to compete successfully against older participants.

However, the defining moment of her young career came at the 12th National Field Archery Championship, held in Palghar, Maharashtra, from May 16 to 19, 2026. Competing in the Cubs Girls category, Aadhya delivered an outstanding performance to secure first place overall and lift the coveted Gold Trophy, a victory that stands as one of her most prestigious accomplishments to date.

These national events were organized by the Field Archery Association of Maharashtra and conducted under the auspices of the Field Archery Association of India (FAAI).

A Bright Future Ahead

With an impressive list of achievements at such a young age, Aadhya is already being recognized as a rising force in Indian archery. Behind every medal lies countless hours of practice, unwavering commitment, and the strong support of her family and coach.
