Kundapur: JD(S) will Win Lok Sabha Bypoll - Kumaraswamy

Kasargod, Mar 14: “JD(S) candidate Bhoje Gowda will win in the forthcoming Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll with a margin of over 50,000 votes,” said JD(S) state president and former chief minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy.
 
Kumaraswamy alleged that the BJP-led state administration wasted four years of its rule and presented a fictitious budget without any worthwhile development works.

Addressing media persons at the press meet held at Blue Waters Hotel, on Tuesday March 13, Kumaraswamy said that the envious Congress is engaged in propaganda against the JD(S) that is gaining ground in the coastal district with a view of gaining votes from the minority community. 

“One need not get surprised if BJP gets pushed to third place in the forthcoming bypoll.  A group of power-greedy BJP men within the party have made a secret pact with the Congress,” alleged Kumaraswamy.
 
Kumaraswamy expressed hope that the voters will support JD(S) in the forthcoming Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll, since they are fed up of ideologies of the BJP.
 
Kumaraswamy strongly reacted over the statement of Congress leaders that JD(S) is indirectly supporting BJP.  He said that although the Congress is an official opposition party, it has nothing worthwhile to say about its achievement. “The coastal Congressmen helped the BJP when Governor Bharadwaj twice recommended dissolution of the state government constitutionally,” he said.
 
JD(S) candidate Bhoje Gowda, Hanuma Gowda, Nanje Gowda, Mudde Gowda, Madhu Bangarappa, former state minister Amaranath Shetty, and S Manjayya Shetty were present at the press meet.

    Mr. Kumaraswamy, you are day dreaming, your party doesn't have any base in Udupi or Chikamagalur, it will only help Communal BJP, as the secular votes especially in chikmagalur will be splite, thus helping radical party BJP.
    Udupi/Chikmagulur by election is prestiges issue for CM Sadanand Gowda, more than BJP, a lose here will serviously dent his image and his position as CM, as he has vacated this seat and caused this by poll, Yedurappa is all out there to spoil BJP's chances
    ( Sadananda Gowda's chances), this election might go either way hard to predict, but no chance for JD(s)
    Wait till 21 March when final results are out. A surprise is out come is predicted by opinion Poll.

    Not for sure Mr. Kumara Swamy this time. Concentrare on next Assembly poll - Byndoor , Modubidre seats JDS can try its luck....There are voters not happy with BJP / Congress in some pockets...
