Mangaluru, May 26: Dakshina Kannada (DK) deputy commissioner (DC) Darshan H V has directed officials to remain fully prepared for the monsoon season, warning that heavy rains could lead to road damage, landslides, house collapses and other untoward incidents. Officials were also asked to maintain cleanliness during the monsoon to prevent the spread of diseases. The DC directed that control rooms remain operational round the clock during periods of heavy rainfall.
