Bantwal: District-level Health Awareness Campaign 'Arogya Janapada Darshan' Begins

Bantwal, Mar 15: Under the aegis of Dakshina Kannada district health and family welfare department, ‘Arogya Janapada Darshan’, a district-level health awareness campaign under IEC programme of National Rural Health Project, was inaugurated at Siddakatte, near here, on Monday March 13.

Siddakatte Pre-University College vice-principal Babu inaugurated the district-level health awareness campaign that was organized in association of Sangabettu gram panchayat and Rayee Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Monday.

Sangabettu gram panchayat president Prabhakar Prabhu presided over the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, district health education officer Javare Gowda said that the artistes of Yakshaloka Kala based at B C Road, will be touring the district to stage a folklore programme that would create health awareness in 15 PHCs.

District assistant health education officer Pape Gowda, Rayee PHC medical officer Dr Rajesh, and Yakshaloka Kala director Gopal Anchan were present on the occasion.
