Riyadh, Jun 10: India and Yemen discussed avenues to deepen bilateral cooperation during a high-level meeting held in Riyadh, where Indian Ambassador Suhail Ajaz Khan met Yemen’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Shaya Mohsin Al-Zindani.
The discussions focused on strengthening relations between the two countries across multiple sectors while also reviewing regional and international developments of mutual concern.

According to a statement issued by the Yemeni Prime Minister’s Office, both sides explored opportunities to further enhance cooperation and examined current developments at the national, regional and global levels. The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues of shared interest.
The Embassy of India in Yemen said that Deputy Chief of Mission Abu Mathen George also participated in the talks. The diplomats reviewed ongoing collaboration between India and Yemen and discussed the evolving situation in the wider region.
Ambassador Suhail Ajaz Khan, who concurrently serves as India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, has been actively engaged in diplomatic consultations in the Kingdom. Earlier this week, he met Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Economic and Development Affairs Deputyship.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia at various international platforms and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. The discussions reflected the growing coordination between New Delhi and Riyadh on regional and global issues.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed the meeting, noting that bilateral relations and a range of common concerns were discussed between Ambassador Khan and Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.
The diplomatic engagements underscore India's continued efforts to strengthen partnerships across the Middle East while maintaining close coordination with regional governments on political, economic and international matters.
