Moodbidri: 46th Branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd Inaugurated

Moodbidri, Mar 16: The 46th branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, a multi-state scheduled bank, was inaugurated at Veenu Sky Plaza, Kalsanka, on Friday March 16.  It is the fourth branch in Dakshina Kannada district and the tenth in Karnataka.

Billawar Association Mumbai and All India Billawa Federation president and Bharat Co-operative Bank director Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the 46th branch on Friday.

The former state minister K Amaranath Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion. The Bank’s chairman Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the ATM kiosk.

The Bank’s deputy chairperson lawyer Rahini J Salian and director Pushpalata N Salian inaugurated the safe lockers facility at the new branch.

Moodbidri –Mulki MLA Abayachandra Jain inaugurated banking facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shetty said that the opening of a new branch by Mumbai-based Bharat Co-operative Bank will be a step towards rural development that would empower the rural masses.

Jaya Suvarna said that Bharat Co-operative Bank will help customers to realize their aspirations in beginning small and medium enterprises.  “It is surging in growth and is already ranked one among the top co-operative banks in the country.  Meanwhile, the Bank has plans to open many branches across the state besides beginning overseas operations,” he added.

MLA Abayachandra Jain said that the Board of Directors led by Jaya Suvarna and overall efficiency of directors, employees, and officers has enabled the bank to achieve rapid growth.

Vasudev Kotian said that the Bank has the objective of rural development and that of encouraging small investors to set up self-employment enterprises.

Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr Mohan Alva, BJP leader K P Jagdish Adikari, town councilor Ratnakar Devadiga, steering committee president Suresh Kotian, social activist Felix D’Souza Taccode, Harish Beltangady, Ramanand Salian, Jayakar Poojary, B S Suvarna, Vinod Sherlekar, Narayan P M, Sundar Poojary, Gerald Crasta, Sripati Bhat, Timmayya Shetty, Billawar Association Mumbai vice-president C T Salian, Kandivali local committee president Gangadhar J Poojary, Leelavati Jaya Suvarna, hundreds of new customers, and well-wishers were present on the occasion.

Shivanand R Shanti performed religious celebrations at the new branch.  Venkatesh Kotian and Lata Venkatesh Kotian were present during the religious celebrations.

The Bank directors L V Amin, Bhaskar M Salian, Ratan U Sanil and Rohit M Suvarna, CEO C R Mulky, deputy general managers Shobha Dayanand and Nityanand D Kotian, assistant general managers Prabhakar J Suvarna and Vasudev M Salian, development department assistant manager Sunil Gujaran managers Satish N Bangera Mumbai, Sudhir Hattangady Suratkal, Ragav Bangera Mangalore, Balakrishna Karkera Udupi, Satish Poojary Bangalore and top officers were also present.

Branch manager Arun Kumar G Kotian welcomed the gathering.  Assistant branch manager Umesh Kotian proposed the vote of thanks.
