Mumbai, June 27: Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan has shared a humorous behind-the-scenes memory from the sets of the 1998 film Kabhi Na Kabhi, recalling the challenges of choreographing actors Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Pooja Bhatt for a song in the film.

Farah recounted the incident during a visit to the home of choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan for one of her popular YouTube vlogs. In a candid conversation with Ahmed and his wife Shaira, she revealed that getting the lead actors to dance together proved to be quite an amusing task.

Sharing the anecdote, Farah said each actor had a different excuse during the shoot. According to her, one insisted that dancing was impossible while lip-syncing, another claimed to be too exhausted to perform, while Anil Kapoor confidently declared that he could manage both.

However, Farah joked that despite his confidence, Anil eventually ended up doing neither.

"There was a song in Kabhi Na Kabhi featuring Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Pooja Bhatt. One person said, 'If I lip-sync, I can't dance.' Another said, 'I'm too tired to dance.' Anil Kapoor confidently said, 'I can do both,' but in the end he did neither," she said, laughing.

Released in 1998, Kabhi Na Kabhi was written and directed by Priyadarshan and starred Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles. The supporting cast included Paresh Rawal, Tinnu Anand, Alok Nath, Rohini Hattangadi, Sukumari and Mac Mohan.

The film was produced by R. Mohan under the banner of Shogun Films and hit theatres on April 17, 1998.

One of the highlights of the film was its music, composed by Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman. The technical crew also featured cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran and editor N. Gopalakrishnan.
