Hyderabad, Jun 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Monday took a dig at the satirical political outfit Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), accusing such groups of attempting to divide the country and weaken its foundation.
Addressing BJP booth presidents during his Telangana visit, Nabin said “virus and cockroach people” were emerging in the country and claimed that they wanted to make India “hollow”.
“Parties like virus and cockroach are coming into the country. These are people who want to make the country hollow. There is a need to pay attention to these virus and cockroach people. The gang wants to divide the country,” Nabin said.

The BJP chief’s remarks came as part of the party’s outreach programme in Telangana, where the Congress-led government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is currently in power.
Speaking to students at an engineering college near Hyderabad, Nabin also spoke about the role of Gen Z and said Indian youth were not anti-establishment but were working towards nation-building.
“There is a lot of debate about Gen Z. People told me that youth carried out agitations in some countries. They are described as Gen Z agitations. India's youth is not anti-establishment. India's youth works for building the country,” he said, according to PTI.
Nabin said the real representation of Gen Z could be seen among young sportspersons and startup founders who were working towards creating a better future for themselves and the country. He also indirectly criticised protesters who, according to him, challenge India’s Constitution and values, saying they cannot represent the nation’s youth.
During his visit, Nabin said the BJP would form a “double-engine government” in Telangana in the next Assembly elections. He recalled the efforts of BJP leaders, including former Union minister Sushma Swaraj, in the movement for the formation of Telangana.
He also attacked Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as a “part-time politician” while addressing BJP workers.
Nabin criticised the Congress for allegedly failing to honour former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao, who belonged to Telangana, and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Rao.
Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janta Party, which began as an online satirical political platform founded by Abhijeet Dipke, has recently turned into a protest movement. The outfit, along with activist Sonam Wangchuk and other supporters, has been staging an indefinite protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over allegations related to the NEET-UG paper leak and concerns over the education system.
Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike on Sunday and on Monday appealed to people to join him for a one-day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar or from their respective states.
