Patna, Jun 30: A Patna civil court on Tuesday granted interim relief to educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, by extending protection from arrest in connection with a criminal case linked to a dispute with fellow educator Roshan Anand.
While hearing Khan Sir's anticipatory bail application, the court directed that no coercive action, including arrest, be taken against him until July 3. The matter was adjourned after the court sought additional documents from the investigating authorities.

The court instructed the police to submit an updated case diary related to the incident along with a verification report on the arms licences of Khan Sir's personal security guards.
The court said it would consider the anticipatory bail plea further only after examining these documents. Until then, Khan Sir will continue to remain under interim protection.
The case arises from a violent altercation involving supporters of coaching institutes operated by Khan Sir and Roshan Anand.
According to police, tensions between the two groups escalated on the night of June 2, resulting in vandalism in the locality. Authorities also received reports alleging that shots were fired into the air during the clash.
Members of the rival group alleged that Khan Sir's personal security personnel discharged firearms to create panic and intimidate those present. Police said these allegations are still under investigation.
Following the incident, Patna Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Khan Sir, Roshan Anand, their security personnel and several unidentified individuals under multiple charges, including attempt to murder and rioting.
The two security guards accused of firing during the incident were arrested earlier and are currently in judicial custody.
The case has witnessed several legal developments over the past month. Khan Sir had approached the court seeking anticipatory bail on June 9, while Roshan Anand was granted regular bail on June 15.
In his complaint, Khan Sir also named Roshan Anand and his brother, Prince Yadav, as accused in the case.
During the course of the dispute, Prince Yadav reportedly died in Nepal. However, investigators have not indicated any connection between his death and the ongoing legal proceedings.
The Patna court is scheduled to hear Khan Sir's anticipatory bail plea again on July 3 after reviewing the updated police case diary and the report verifying the firearm licences of his security personnel.
