Mangalore, Mar 19: The 46th college day celebration of St Aloysius Evening College (SAEC), Lighthouse Hill was held here on Saturday March 17.

K Socretes, deputy director, MSME, development institute, GOI, Mangalore branch was the chief guest. Prasadraj Kanchan, president, Udupi chamber of commerce, and chairman and managing director of the Kanchan Group was the guest of honour.

Fr Joseph Ignatious Rodrigues SJ, rector, St Aloysius Institutions presided.

Administrator Fr Michael John SJ, Dr Donald Lobo, principal of the college, Manohar V Serrao, vice principal, Dr V Basil  Hans, college day convener, Jeethan D’ Cunha, students council president, Ravichandra, secretary, joint secretaries Rita Rosario and Elma D’Souza were present during the occasion.

The college annual report was presented by the principal. Prizes and awards were distributed to the achievers in academics, sports, languages and for all-round development.

The students and alumni of SAEC put up a colourful cultural extravaganza at the end of the celebration.
