Chandigarh, Jul 8: Congress general secretary in charge of Punjab Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday ruled out any change in the party's state leadership, asserting that Amarinder Singh Raja Warring will continue as the Punjab Congress president.
Dismissing speculation over a leadership reshuffle, Baghel said the Congress high command had already taken its decision and there was no question of reversing it.
"Appointing a Congress president is not a game of 'gudda-guddi' (playing with dolls). The party high command's decision will not be changed," he said.

Baghel maintained that the Congress has no tradition of overturning decisions made by the central leadership and said Raja Warring would continue to head the state unit.
He also claimed that District Congress Committee presidents and Punjab Congress Committee members had unanimously welcomed the high command's decision. According to him, party leaders had also congratulated the newly appointed working presidents, reflecting organisational unity.
Baghel made the remarks during his visit to Punjab, where he held meetings with District Congress Committee presidents, senior leaders and party office-bearers to review the organisation's preparedness for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
Emphasising the need to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, Baghel said the Congress was focused on building a united organisation rather than allowing internal differences to become a distraction.
Referring to senior leaders Charanjit Singh Channi and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Baghel said he had already spoken to both and would meet them soon.
"If needed, I will personally visit their homes and meet them over a cup of tea," he said.
With Baghel's clarification, the Congress leadership has sought to put an end to speculation over the Punjab Congress chief's post and reaffirm its focus on organisational strengthening ahead of the next Assembly elections.
