Mumbai, Aug 30: Amid comparisons between Bollywood star Salman Khan’s upcoming film Monster, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar’s Original Monster, helmed by R. Chandru, the Sandalwood actor has said there is no “Shiva vs Salman” equation.
Speaking during the title launch of Original Monster, Shiva Rajkumar said the two films have completely different storylines.
“Salman’s Monster and Original Monster both stories are really different. It’s not Shiva vs Salman, we are one,” he said.

The actor also hinted at a possible collaboration with Salman Khan in the future.
“God wishes, we will be working together. Might be Salman and I working together,” Shiva Rajkumar said.
Touted as a pan-India action spectacle, Original Monster will feature Shiva Rajkumar in what is being described as his fiercest avatar yet. The makers released the film’s motion poster on Sunday, showing the protagonist standing amid chaos with a blood-soaked weapon in his hand.
The film is backed by Anand Pandit, with music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by AJ Shetty.
Salman Khan’s Monster, meanwhile, is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The pan-India action entertainer is expected to release during Eid 2027.
Salman will share screen space with southern actress Nayanthara in the film, marking the first major collaboration between the two actors.
Salman’s upcoming projects also include Apoorva Lakhia’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, earlier titled Battle of Galwan. The film will revolve around the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
Produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films, Maatrubhumi stars Chitrangda Singh opposite Salman.
Salman will also return as the host of the popular reality television show Bigg Boss 20.
