Lucknow school van driver arrested for alleged sexual assault bid on four-year-old girl

Lucknow, Jul 19: A 50-year-old school van driver has been arrested in Lucknow for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a four-year-old girl, police said on Sunday.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Lucknow West) Kamlesh Kumar Dixit, the incident occurred on July 17 while the child was returning home from school in a van driven by the accused.

The alleged incident came to light after the girl informed her family, following which they lodged a complaint with the police.

After the child's medical examination, police arrested the accused and seized the school van allegedly used in the incident.
Further investigation is underway.
