Tehran, Jul 27: Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has reiterated Tehran's support for Hezbollah, praising the Lebanese armed group for its resilience against Israel and describing its resistance as a source of inspiration for oppressed people around the world.
In a post on X, Khamenei responded to a letter of allegiance from Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem and the group's fighters, commending them for standing "like an unyielding rock" in the face of what he described as Israel's "savage aggression" and the support it receives from its allies.
Khamenei said people across the world had grown weary of what he termed the oppression of the United States and Israel, adding that "jihad and resistance" remained the only path forward against what he called injustice.

He said Hezbollah's continued resistance had become an inspiring example for people seeking liberation from oppression and praised the group's commanders and fighters for their commitment and endurance.
The Iranian leader also described Iran's support for Hezbollah and the defence of Lebanon's territorial integrity as a strategic responsibility. He said any future agreement to end the ongoing conflict involving the United States should also include an end to Israeli military operations against Lebanon.
Khamenei praised the people of southern Lebanon for their resilience and support for Hezbollah during the conflict.
Paying tribute to slain Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other commanders, he said their sacrifices had transformed Hezbollah from a "sapling" into a "mighty tree" and had brought honour and prestige to Lebanon across the Islamic world.
His remarks come amid continuing tensions in West Asia and reaffirm Iran's political and ideological backing for Hezbollah despite ongoing regional instability.
