New Delhi, Aug 6: Vivo has reintroduced its S-series smartphones in India with the launch of the vivo S2, nearly seven years after the lineup was last available in the country.
Priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 44,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, the smartphone will go on sale from August 11 through Flipkart, the vivo India eStore and authorised retail outlets. It will be available in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze colour options.

The vivo S2 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a curved design highlighted by a new Skyline Camera Module and Aura Light Portrait system. The handset has a metallic matte-finish frame and is 7.99mm thick, with the Silk White variant measuring 8.10mm.
The smartphone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. It also offers IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
One of its key highlights is a 7,050mAh BlueVolt battery with 44W FlashCharge support. The device also supports reverse wired charging, Bypass Charging and Battery Life Extender mode. According to the company, the battery is designed to retain at least 80 per cent of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
For photography, the vivo S2 is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 2MP bokeh sensor. A 32MP front-facing camera handles selfies. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
The device also includes camera features such as Aura Light Portrait, AI Erase 2.0, Dual View Video, Live Photo, Supermoon mode and Ultra HD Document Mode, along with several AI-powered imaging enhancements.
The vivo S2 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and comes with a range of AI-driven software features.
