Bhopal, Sep 9: Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 53,000 crore across green energy, urban development, healthcare, education and other sectors during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s three-day visit to the UAE, officials said.
The visit, which concluded in Dubai on Tuesday, focused on attracting investments and strengthening industrial partnerships between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE. Addressing investors, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh was ready to convert its vast potential into opportunities and achievements, highlighting the state’s economic growth rate of more than 11 per cent.
The chief minister outlined investment opportunities in agriculture and food processing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, advanced manufacturing, green energy, information technology, artificial intelligence, data centres, electronics and tourism. He also highlighted the state’s land bank, road and rail connectivity, eight operational airports, investor-friendly policies and single-window clearance system.
During a meeting with Rana Holdings Limited chairman and managing director Dr Darshan Singh Rana, discussions were held on major investments in green hydrogen, solar power, data centres and smart manufacturing. The company expressed interest in developing a 2,000-MW solar energy portfolio, a 200-MW green hydrogen plant, a 50-MW AI and compute data centre expandable to 200 MW, a 30,000-MTPA critical minerals recovery and recycling complex, and an integrated smart manufacturing hub.
The proposed projects by Rana Holdings are expected to involve investments of around Rs 35,200 crore and could significantly boost Madhya Pradesh’s energy transition, advanced manufacturing capabilities and digital infrastructure.
Another company presented a proposal for an investment of nearly Rs 18,000 crore to establish a 50-MW AI factory, with plans to expand its capacity to more than 100 MW in the future.
Yadav also held discussions with GEMS Education chairman Sunny Varkey on establishing K-12 schools, teacher training facilities and future-oriented educational campuses meeting international standards. With representatives of Pure Health, he explored investment opportunities in multi-speciality hospitals, digital healthcare, telemedicine and medical and nursing education.
Talks with the Sharaf Group focused on multi-modal logistics parks, warehousing, cold-chain facilities, supply chain networks, tourism and hospitality, while discussions with Choithrams covered food processing, retail, agricultural procurement, distribution networks and cold-chain infrastructure.
Yadav said Madhya Pradesh had received investment proposals exceeding Rs 34 lakh crore over the past two-and-a-half years, with more than 30 per cent of the proposed projects already implemented.
The chief minister also invited UAE-based investors and business leaders to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS-2027), scheduled to be held in Bhopal in January 2027. He described Madhya Pradesh as the “heart of India” and assured investors of a warm welcome.
During an ‘Invest in Madhya Pradesh: Interactive Session’ in Dubai, attended by UAE industrialists, investors, business organisations, IBPC, CII UAE and NRI entrepreneurs, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Office Neeraj Mandloi made a presentation on the state’s industrial potential. Badr Jafar, Special Envoy of the UAE, also addressed the gathering as a special guest.
