US Air National Guard F-16 fighter jet crashes during training in Michigan, pilot ejects

Michigan, Sep 18: A Texas Air National Guard F-16 fighter jet crashed during a routine training mission near Traverse City in Michigan on Thursday, but the pilot managed to eject safely, the unit said.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon was assigned to the 149th Fighter Wing, based in Texas, according to a statement issued by the unit on its Facebook page.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available.
