Beltangady, Sep 25: Following a directive from the Supreme Court for a reinvestigation into the Sowjanya case, the state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The government has appointed inspector general of police N Shashikumar as the chief of the SIT.
An official order has been issued naming the members of the newly formed investigation team. The SIT includes Mangaluru police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, state intelligence superintendent of police Nisha James, Bengaluru CID superintendent of police Lokesh Jagalasar, and Bengaluru Rural district additional superintendent of police Venkatesh Prasanna as its members.
