Kochi, Oct 9: The Kerala High Court on Friday allowed a plea seeking registration of an FIR against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena T and her husband PA Mohamed Riyas in the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) bribery case, based on a report submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ED has alleged that CMRL made fraudulent payments amounting to Rs 2.78 crore to Veena T’s now-defunct company, Exalogic Solutions, under the guise of providing IT consultancy services.

The court’s decision paves the way for the registration of an FIR against the three in connection with the allegations. Further legal proceedings are expected to follow.
