New Delhi, Oct 9: Indian Railways has cancelled several mail and express trains bound for New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations ahead of the CJP protest scheduled for October 10 against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
According to a railway advisory issued on Friday, trains scheduled to depart from their originating stations after 2 pm on October 9 have been cancelled. Services scheduled to arrive in Delhi between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 will also be affected.

The decision was taken in view of the possibility of heavy traffic congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations due to the planned protest.
The cancellations are likely to affect passengers travelling to the national capital over the two days. Travellers have been advised to check the latest status of their trains before leaving for the station to avoid inconvenience.
Passengers have also been urged to monitor official railway announcements for further updates on cancellations and changes to train services.
