The Hebri police have arrested a man from Chara village on charges of issuing a death threat to Karkala Congress youth leader Inna Yogesh Acharya on social media.

The arrested has been identified as Krishna Naik. He was taken into custody late Sunday night.

Following his arrest, Naik was reportedly admitted to the Udupi district hospital citing health issues.
