Mumbai, Oct 16: Television actress Karishma Tanna has returned to the stage to perform Garba at a Navratri event in Hyderabad, just over two months after welcoming her first child with husband Varun Bangera.
Sharing a video of her performance on social media, Karishma revealed that she had danced after a gap of more than a year. She also opened up about her postpartum recovery, motherhood and efforts to balance family life with her passion for performing.

“After a year, I danced garba again… and my heart felt right at home,” she wrote.
The actress said she was still recovering after childbirth and adjusting to the changes in her body. “Just over two months postpartum, I’m still healing, I am still few kgs heavy, still finding my rhythm,” she shared.
Karishma added that while she finds immense happiness with her family, performing on stage remains an important part of her life. She said she was learning to make room for both motherhood and her professional passion, one day at a time.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to perform before a live audience, she described the experience as a blessing and thanked the audience in Hyderabad for their love and encouragement. She also expressed hope of performing more often in the future.
Karishma married businessman Varun Bangera on February 5, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. The couple welcomed their son on July 29, 2026, on the occasion of Guru Purnima. They later named him Ved Tanna Bangera, a name they said signifies sacred knowledge, wisdom and light.
