New Delhi, Oct 16: Amazon has expanded its artificial intelligence hardware portfolio with two new devices, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, designed to record conversations, convert speech into text and generate summaries and notes for later reference.
The devices were introduced on October 15 following Amazon’s acquisition of San Francisco-based AI startup Bee in July 2025. The startup is known for its AI-powered wearable technology that records and analyses conversations.

The Bee Frontier is priced at $99.99, approximately Rs 9,493, and is available now. Users can wear it on their wrist or clip it to their clothing. The device features two microphones, a recording indicator light, USB-C charging and IP67 water resistance. Its battery can last up to seven days on a single charge.
The second device, Bee Eclipse, is priced at $74.99, approximately Rs 7,120, and is expected to be available soon. Designed as a card-shaped recorder, it attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. Amazon says its larger battery can provide up to 21 days of use on a single charge.
Both devices work with the redesigned Bee mobile app. Amazon has also introduced a desktop app, allowing users to access their notes and conversation summaries from computers.
The free Bee plan offers conversation summaries, recaps and 14 days of memory. Users can subscribe to Bee Pro for $11.99, approximately Rs 1,138 per month, to access additional features, including suggested tasks, daily memories and a personal chat assistant.
Bee can connect with Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, enabling users to draft emails, organise meetings and identify tasks based on recorded conversations.
Amazon is also integrating Bee with its shopping service and Alexa. Users who enable the Amazon integration may receive product recommendations based on their conversations. Linking the service with compatible Echo devices allows users to request summaries, insights and to-do lists through Alexa.
The new features have also raised questions about privacy and the handling of recorded conversations. Amazon says users can delete transcripts and summaries at any time. The shopping and Alexa integrations are optional, allowing users to decide whether to activate them.
The Bee Frontier is available through Amazon.com, while the Bee Eclipse is expected to go on sale soon.
