Mumbai, Oct 21: Actress Apeksha Porwal has described working with superstar Rajinikanth in the recently released film *Jailer 2* as a “surreal” experience, saying she got to witness his extraordinary stardom and humility up close.

In a statement, the actress said, “It was an absolutely surreal experience working with Rajinikanth Sir. Till now, he was a mythical phenomenon whose stardom I had heard of, but then I actually got to see it up close.”

Reflecting on what impressed her the most, Porwal said it was not merely his immense popularity but also the way he treated the people around him.

“I’ve never seen a star of his stature be this humble and kind to everyone around. His simplicity, his humility, the aura he carries, that’s his greatness. He would always have a smile on his face and greet everybody,” she said.

For Porwal, working with the veteran actor offered a glimpse into the person behind his extraordinary stardom. His approachable nature and warmth towards everyone on the sets made the experience particularly memorable for her.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, *Jailer 2* features Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik reprising their roles from the previous film. The sequel also introduces S J Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan to the cast.

The film follows *Jailer*, released in 2023, which featured Rajinikanth as a retired jailer who sets out to apprehend an eccentric idol smuggler threatening his family.

The original film also featured Vinayakan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi and other actors in supporting roles, while Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff appeared in guest roles.

*Jailer 2* continues the franchise following the success of its predecessor, which emerged as a major commercial hit in Tamil cinema.
