Item Songs Have Become First Look of Films: Sunidhi

New Delhi, Apr 8 (IANS): Versatile singer Sunidhi Chauhan, who has given some of the best item songs to Bollywood, says she sees them as special songs that are now treated as the first look of movies.

The 28-year-old is known for giving her voice to itms songs including "Sheila Ki Jawani" from "Tees Maar Khan", "Beedi" from "Omakara", "Mehboob Mere" from "Fiza", "Deedar De" for "Dus", "Aisa jadoo dala re" from "Khakee" and very recent "Fann Ban Gayi" from "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya"

"People call it an item song but for me they are special songs, which are now termed as first look of films. I don't understand why people call it an item number when big actors are performing on that song. Take for reference Katrina Kaif or Malaika Arora Khan, they are not item girls, but heroines. So, why call the songs an item numbers?

"But I am glad those songs are treated specially and in a different way. Most of the item songs today are shot on a very large scale and they are paid more attention to/ I am pretty happy about it and I would love to do many more in future," the 28-year-old told IANS.

Sunidhi will be next heard in movies like "Joker" and "Vicky Donor".
