Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club-Mega Mart Cookery Contest Held

Bahrain, May 30:
A cookery contest conducted by Karnataka Social club Bahrain along with Mega mart and Babasons was successful in drawing huge response from members and people from Karnataka origin.

More than 35 entries were received for the competition which was conducted under 3 categories – non-veg, vegetarian and deserts.

Prominent judges from the top Bahrain restaurants selected the winners of the event after a grueling judging session.

More than 200 guests enjoyed the afternoon where KSC ladies wing members ran Anand bazaar, the home cooked Mangalorean delicacies stalls and live entertainment from local talents along with games for kids.

President Maxim Sequiera welcomed the guests.
Entertainment secretary Rajesh Prabhu conducted the program.

Winners and runner ups of the contest are as follows

Vegetarian category:

1st prize                Leena Noronha – paneer kadai.
Joint 2nd prize       Felicita Sequeira - pathrode and Sangeetha Idya – paneer kofta


Non-veg category:

1st prize             Gracy Pais – chicken sukka, Indian style
2nd prize            Janet D’Souza – beef chili dry, Indian style


Dessert category:

1st prize            Sonia Prabhu - tiramish charlotte cake
Joint 2nd prize    Sandra Alvares - temptation and Doris Fernandes - date and walnut cake

    Congrats to the winners and runner ups. Ms. Leena Noronha pl. give us the recepie for paneer kadai and Ms. Gracy Pais for chicken sukha and Janet D'Souza for beef chilli. Keep going
