Mangalore, Jun 4: In a tragic incident, a girl from Mudigere in Chikmagalur drowned in Ullal beach here on Sunday June 3.
17- year-old Raunak drowned while her friend Uzma (15) was rescued. Her condition is said to be critical.
Nine members of Abdul Shukar’s family visited Ullal Mosque on Sunday. After offering prayers they had left to a nearby beach (Mogaveer) where, Ronak and Uzma were playing while they were washed away by rough waves.
Uzma was dragged out by Shafeeq Ullal and was rushed to the nearby hospital. Raunak's body could not be recovered.
