He was political leader of a glorious past. His commitment to the people whose cause he championed was of the highest order. His greatest contribution to political discourse of the district and of the state was the high quality of intellectual input he provided. Above all, not many politicians/leaders of today can claim to have established a puny publishing house with support of couple of friends with their own little money and grow it to the level of Karnataka's largest publishing house, while none of the promoters claiming any ownership!! That was the story how navakarnataka was built for public good.

We lost the best leader of Karnataka. Mr.Kakkilaya is the person reserved his entire life for the needy. He didnt gain anything financially in his entire political life but he left his mark on every citizen of Dakshina Kannada with his simplicity and reachability.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.
